EMU- Dept. of Biology 1 year anatomy/physiology teaching position
ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY
Department of Biology
POSITION: Full-time, one year faculty position in anatomy and physiology. Position is a
sabbatical replacement.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate training in anatomy and physiology, or a related field of biomedical sciences,
required at minimal of Master's level; Ph.D. preferred. Candidates should have earned
their degree by September 1, 2013.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Eastern Mennonite University invites applicants for a one year position in biomedical
sciences, with a focus on courses in anatomy and physiology. Teaching
responsibilities will support programs in the health sciences (e.g. pre-medicine,
nursing). Courses include anatomy and physiology at both lower and upper levels, and
courses in basic biological sciences. Additional course loading may depend on area of
expertise of the successful applicant.
COMPENSATION: Nine-month contract, at or near full time. Salary pro-rated according to final loading
and dependent on education and experience level.
APPOINTMENT DATE: Position begins mid-August 2013. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any
time or keep the position open.
