CISE/ISAT Wet Labs (Biotechnology) Lab Coordinator and CISE Safety Liaison
CISE Laboratory Operations in College of Integrated Science and Engineering (CISE) at James Madison University is seeking applicants for an Administrative and Professional Faculty position as CISE/ISAT Wet Labs Coordinator and CISE Safety Liaison. This individual will work in direct support of the mission of Applied Biotechnology (AB) academic team, provide input and support to other biological and chemical activities across CISE, and assist faculty, staff and students in the safe use of labs, studios, and dual-use facilities across all CISE departments. Dependent on applicant experience and interest, opportunities may be available to participate in teaching and research activities within the AB academic team.
Salary for this position is dependent upon applicant background and experience and will fall within the range of $55,000 to $65,000.
Qualifications:
Candidates may have a variety of backgrounds with a multidisciplinary focus in some of the following areas: biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, microscopy, biomanufacturing. An advanced degree in one of the above areas or a related area or equivalent experience is required. Lab-based, hands-on experience with lab equipment, biochemistry hardware and software is highly desired and experience with lab and one-on-one instruction is highly valued. An ability to work within a team environment that includes faculty, staff and students is essential.
