Looking for loaner road bikes
Howdy, we are assembling a team, the Thermocyclers ( see Josh's post http://uvamic.forumotion.com/t34-road-biking-opportunity-for-interested-students-faculty-staff ) to participate in the Multiple Sclerosis Society Tour de Vine taking place this June.
We have found lots of people interested in joining our team for the cycling challenge, but a few of them lack bicycles appropriate for distance riding on the road.
I am thus putting out a call to see if anyone has road bikes in good functional (or easily made good functional) condition that you would be willing to loan to our aspiring cyclists until the MS ride takes place on June 11 and 12th.
Your help would be very much appreciated by our team and ultimately will allow us to raise more money to continue the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. I know how emotionally attached we can become to our bikes, but this is truly for a good cause.
We need 2 bikes with the following dimensions:
1) Men's with a 54 - 56 cm (21.5 - 22.5") frame
2) Men's/women's 51- 53 cm (20 - 21") frame
If you know anyone else that may be able to help us out, please forward this message to them too.
You can either reply here or email me directly iglomski@virginia.edu
Many thanks,
Ian Glomski and team Thermocyclers
