General Summary of Position: The University of Massachusetts Lowell Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track lecturer position to start January 2014. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate and teach the lecture and laboratory sections of the biology majors' courses, Evolution, Ecology and Conservation (EEC) (plus Problems in EEC) and Genetics (plus Problems in Genetics). Supervision of graduate teaching assistants is required and the position includes service contributions to the University and the community. The position is full-time for a 9-month academic year including benefits, and is renewable.

Minimum Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in a biological or biochemical discipline (must have at the time of application)
The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
Evidence of experience and dedication to teaching at the college level
Previous experience working with a diverse student and faculty population
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary commensurate with experience
